General Information

In the past 2,000 years, more people have been successfully treated with acupuncture than with all other health remedies combined. Today, acupuncture is practiced widely in Asia as well as in Eastern and Western Europe.

Acupuncture treatments can be given at the same time as other techniques, such as conventional Western medicine, osteopathic or chiropractic adjustments, and homeopathic or naturopathic prescriptions. It is important that your practitioner know everything that you are doing, so he or she can help you get the maximum benefit from all your treatments.

Acupuncture is based upon the principle of there being a continuous generation and flow of Qi (or Life-Force) throughout the body. When the flow maintains a proper balance, there is health; but if the balance is disturbed in any degree, "seeds of illness appear."
