The American public may find the idea of a natural infertility treatment as unfamiliar and hard to believe. However, in Eastern countries (such as China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam), infertility treatments using herbs and natural remedies are very common. The success rate of these herbal remedies and therapies are between 70-90% (the success is dependent on the skills and knowledge of the practitioners). This success rate is higher than with conventional Western medicine, where the success rate is 20- 40%.
Another factor to consider is the number of side effects the patient suffers using chemical treatments. Some of these medication side effects are difficult to endure.
According to Western medicine and research there are 5 reasons for infertility.
| Ovulatory Failure (including PCOS) | 20% |
| Tubal damage | 15% |
| Endometriosis | 5% |
| Male Problems | 25% |
| Unexplained | 30% |
As documented above, the largest cause of infertility cannot be explained by conventional medicine. In contrast, Eastern medicine provides several more explanations for infertility that fall into the category of "unexplained."
Some other reasons are:
I) Insufficient blood circulation to the reproductive organs
2) Overproduction of vaginal discharge
3) Improper pH in the region
4) Fat layers or tumerous growth around the ovaries or the Fallopian tube
5) Cold uterus
6) Poor pelvic alignment
7) Diet and substance abuse
More specific diagnoses allow for more treatment options.
Through 37 years of practice, we have sharpened our technique and developed highly effective herbal remedies. We can proudly stand behind our 90% success rate. Even without successful conception from acupuncture alone, patients are better prepared for IVF treatments. Research indicates that the likelihood of conception rises to 63% with the combination of acupuncture and herbal treatment, which 42.5% more than with IVF treatments alone (Ref: Study of Paulus, W.E., Zhang, M., Strehler, E., EIDanasour, I., Sterzik, K.).
The benefits of using our natural method are two-fold. The first reason to consider acupuncture is that the side effects are minimal. Second, using berbal and therapeutie massage will enhance the health of both the mother and the fetus.
The full course of treatment is 2 sessions per week, for 2 months. Our licensed practitioners will prescribe an herba1 concoction that must be ingested 3 times a day for 4 weeks. Patients from out-of-town can try our herbal tonics alone (with a 70% success rate) after an initial consultation.
